Do you think appropiate to give a child expensive earings?
She is 8 years old. My mother want to give her the inherited earrings that she received when she was a child. The earrings are of Diamonds and pearls . They have been through 7 generations.

Speaking from experience, tell her to wait to give it to her when she's older OR show them to the little girl and then put it away. When I was younger my grandmother gave me a lot of beautiful jewelry, but because I was so young, I lost ALL OF IT! I hurt my grandmother a lot by losing it, but then again, I was too young to be given something so precious. So tell her to WAIT. It'll mean more to her in a few years anyway, when she understands what they mean. GIve it to her now, and she'll think they're pretty and then move on.
